Here are a few answers to questions that you may have in the back of your head.

Is Viktor Krelig a real person?

No. He's a fictional character and narrator of the series.  Since he's the narrator it seemed fitting to publish using the character's name as a pseudonym.

How long is the series?

At the time of publishing on Itch.io 3 stories have been published, but a fourth is set to be released later in 2024 and another one will likely be published in 2025.  There are numerous stories in addition to those that are in various drafting phases.

Does the series tell a larger story?

Yes, but it's a bit of a slow start. Characters don't start reappearing on a regular basis until the fourth book, and even then it isn't until the fifth book where there are overt connections to the first one.

Will the series have a conclusive ending?

Yes. There are other stories I want to tell using the lessons I've learned from this series.

Are all these stories the same tone and format?

Strictly speaking, no.

The series is my endeavor to acquire and improve writing, publishing and marketing skills. Each story is an experiment. However, the first two share a similar tone and format because the experiment was to see if I could write a second story based on the same premise. The format changes in the third story and each story plays a bit with how the story itself is told.

Can't I just read this for free on a different platform?

Yes. I am thrilled that you are interested enough to read the story. You have my blessing to read it for free on the platforms I have published it on. At the time of publishing on Itch.io, Royal Road gets the most traction. So reading, liking, commenting, and rating on there will likely be the most helpful.

Why are you requiring a payment for reading on Itch.io?

None of the platforms this appears on offers a clear way for users to financially support the project. Alternatively, platforms like Patreon are more subscription based and right now I am not up for delivering stories or other content at that pace.

Will this ever be available on Amazon/Kindle?

Probably, but there are not any firm plans (yet) for publishing on that platform. I have opinions and emotions on the subject which is probably best left for a different time and space.

Was ChatGPT or similar AI models used in writing this story?

No.
